Great Wall of China 10 day Trek - 29th August to 8th September 2013
A breath-taking 10 day tour of the many incredible features of the Great Wall of China, one of the world’s most impressive historical landmarks. Experience the most spectacular sections of the Great Wall, from the popular tourist spots, to the quieter, less frequented areas. As well as the aweinspiring wall itself, sample classic Chinese culture on your journey from Tiananmen Square to the Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing.
Fully supported throughout, and with English speaking local Guides, this trip is the perfect opportunity to experience the Wall and surrounding areas. Not only will you get to see the most popular sights for tourists along the way, but we will also take you to the parts of the various structures, which are not as well known and therefore unspoilt.
This trek is suitable for fit walkers, without previous trekking or mountaineering experience. The difficulty level varies from relaxed to moderate, with a typical day involving between 1-6 hours of trekking, reaching altitudes of up to 1000 metres.
The cost of the trip is £300 deposit plus £3,200 fundraising. There is no additional insurance costs.
