Jonathan and the team from http://www.darkencounters.co.uk/ will be here at 9pm for our regular Wednesday Paranormal Hour. Tonight on the show we are talking about the wierdest rituals you undertake because of superstitions.
Superstitions can be defined as, "irrational beliefs, especially with regard to the unknown".
Whether it is saying,"Hello Mr Magpie, how is the wife?" everytime you sees Magpie, or perhaps you can never step on a crack on the pavement?
And what would you do if someone put some new shoes on the table? Would you leave them there? If not, why? Call, email or tweet in your strange superstitions, andy@wave105.com 01489481052
Here are just a few we have received so far...
BIRTHDAY CAKES
If you blow out all the candles on your birthday cake with the first puff you will get your wish.
CLOCKS
If a clock which has not been working suddenly chimes, there will be a death in the family.
FRIDAY 13Th
Fear of Friday the 13th is rooted in ancient, separate bad-luck associations with the number 13 and the day Friday (death of Jesus). The two unlucky entities combine to make one super unlucky day.
SALT
Bad luck will follow the spilling of salt unless a pinch is thrown over the left shoulder into the face of the devil waiting there.
SCISSORS
If you drop scissors, it means your lover is being unfaithful to you.
WINDOW
All windows should be opened at the moment of death so that the soul can leave.
