Dermot O’Leary’s Radio 2 show is one of over 40 radio stations around the UK playing his tracks, live acoustic sessions and interviews, with headline shows booked in across the country over the course of 2011.

Jake Morley is remarkable talent. A hugely popular artist on the London circuit, he draws a diverse and enthusiastic audience. His lap style guitar playing is jaw-dropping but it’s his songs the hook-filled melodies and poetic lyrics – that are growing his fan-base and reputation well beyond his home town.Whether gigging with his 4-piece band (which includes ex-Nizlopi double bass player John Parker), or as a solo performer, the reaction of the crowd is always one of pure delight.

Jake Morley releases his debut single ‘Feet Don’t Fail Me Now’ via Sandwich Emporium Records on January 16th.

Single Feet Don’t Fail Me Now will be out on January 16th, with the album Many Fish To Fry following in February. In the meantime, the soft release, Freddie Laid The Smackdown is available for free download and sharing at www.jakemorley.com.
Although only in his mid-20′s, Jake has already had music success. A former writer of TV ad music, and composer & lyricist of the highly acclaimed Famished musical which is now being performed internationally, Jake’s solo work takes a more personal approach.

Jake has already played over 50 gigs this year, including a support slot with Eric Clapton, festival appearances and a packed-out monthly residency at London’s famous Ronnie Scott’s Club. His extensive live experience meant that the album recording was completed in 6 days.

‘Many Fish To Fry’ is a big, open sounding album, jam-packed full of memorable songs ranging from the poignant ‘This City’ through to the feel-good ‘I Saw Something’, via a full choir on the upbeat debut single ‘Feet Don’t Fail Me Now’. An early EP, boosted by play on Radio 2 and 6 Music, grabbed the attention of renowned producers Phill Brown (Bob Marley / Talk Talk / Faithless) and Calum MacColl (Rokia Traore / Ronan Keating / Eddi Reader) who worked alongside Jake and the band to create an album that overflows with soulful instrumentation, warm vocals and strong lyrics.
