With the temperature at 28 degrees as I write this we thought we'd celebrate the great british barbecue tonight, and finish the evening off with a live music session from the Velvet Hearts.
So... at 8pm Ian Nelson will be here with another celebrity guest to help out over the charcoal - in the form of Jody Scheckter the South African former racing driver, indeed the 1979 Formula One World Drivers Champion, who has now turned to biodynamic farming in Hampshire at Laverstoke Park Farm which was founded by him in 1996 to create the best tasting, healthiest food for his family and himself.
He'll be bringing some interesting and unusual food to prepare live in preparation for the Amateur BBQ World Cup being fought out on the farm – competing nations will take to the grills for a shot at the coveted title of Amateur BBQ World Champion, facing judgement from a panel headed up by Ainsely Harriot.
Then at 9pm my guests are the Velvet Hearts who supported Bon Jovi at London’s O2 on Thursday 10th June. They'll be playing live in the studio if they haven't eaten too much bbq food!
Also as part of the Hampshire Food Festival which is open through the whole of July with events across the county we've got a fantastic competition for you to enter this evening:
